I am a geologist and science educator who specializes in studying the evolution of our planet through volcanic systems. After completing a B.S. Degree in Earth Science at U.C. Santa Cruz and a M.S. Degree in Geological Sciences at U.C. Santa Barbara, I served as a geology professor at Los Angeles Pierce College.

I am currently working towards a Ph.D. with Professor Marc-Antoine Longpré (Queens College, CUNY) through The Graduate Center, CUNY to study volcanic eruption triggers and the evolution of volcanic systems.
